Milan, 30 April (LaPresse) – According to three people familiar with the matter who spoke to CNN, the estimate of $25 billion provided yesterday by a senior Pentagon official to US lawmakers regarding the total cost of the war with Iran to date is an underestimate, as it does not include the cost of repairing the extensive damage suffered by US bases in the region. One of the sources cited by CNN states that the actual cost estimate is in the region of $40-50 billion, taking into account the expenses for rebuilding US military installations and replacing destroyed infrastructure.
