Florence, 7 May (LaPresse) – ‘I am proud to announce that a building at the European Parliament in Brussels will be named in honour of David Sassoli: the inauguration will take place in October’. This was announced by the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, speaking this morning in Florence at the ceremony to name a room in Palazzo Vecchio after David Maria Sassoli. ‘These are symbolic gestures,’ added Metsola, ‘but they represent our commitment to protecting and carrying forward what David fought for. They are acts of remembrance as much as they are steps towards the future.’
