Milan, May 9 (LaPresse) – UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed concern over the alleged shootout between Iran and the United States in the Strait of Hormuz. “He stresses that this is a critical moment to de-escalate tensions and urges all parties to exercise maximum restraint to avoid further escalation,” said his spokesman Stephane Dujarric. Guterres calls on all parties to refrain from actions “that could lead to further escalation or undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts,” Dujarric added.
