Milan, 19 May (LaPresse) – ‘The Finnish technical diving team involved in the recovery operation has handed over to Maldivian police investigators the GoPro cameras and various items of diving equipment recovered from within the cave system, as part of the ongoing investigation’ into the dive in which five Italian divers died. This is according to a post on social media platform X by the Maldives Security Desk. ‘These items could provide crucial evidence to reconstruct the final moments of the dive, including the route taken by the divers, the depth, visibility conditions and any technical difficulties encountered within the cave system,’ the post adds.
