Frankfurt (Germany), 8 June. (LaPresse) – German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul welcomed the latest developments in the conflict in the Middle East. "Iran's statement today on ending the attacks may represent an important step," Wadephul said in Berlin, as reported by NTV. "We will now closely monitor the reliability of this claim," the Foreign Minister added, emphasizing that the German government expects "Iran to exert a corresponding influence on Hezbollah to ensure that this terrorist organization no longer attacks Israel, particularly the north of the country, from Lebanese territory."
