Milan, 12 June (LaPresse) – ‘We will not withdraw from the security zones in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza.’ This was stated by the Israeli Defence Minister, Israel Katz, referring to the agreement currently being finalised between the US and Iran. This was reported by Ynet. ‘The IDF will continue to protect our borders and our citizens from within the Hermon Mountains, the Lebanese mountains, the regions of our country in Samaria and most of the Gaza Strip, as a fundamental lesson learned from the events of 7 October,’ added Katz, concluding that ‘the IDF will not withdraw from the terrorist camps in northern Samaria, where residents are currently being evacuated, and, if necessary, the operation will be extended to other terrorist camps’.
