Milan, 17 May (LaPresse) – ‘There was huge pressure; we risked throwing away everything we’d achieved this season, but we still have to win at home against Cagliari.’ This is how Milan manager Max Allegri commented to DAZN on the victory against Genoa and the Champions League qualification now within reach. ‘I thank the lads who have supported and put up with me, but there’s still a week to go. We’re also pleased with the club’s support; Cardinale was here with us,’ added the Livorno-born manager. ‘We did well to keep possession and, in the end, to stop them getting near the box. Now we hope to win the last one at home, where we’ve only picked up one point from our last three games,’ said Allegri. ‘I had no doubts about the team’s response; in recent matches we’ve conceded goals far too easily. Today we defended well and were also lucky. But I’m happy for everyone,’ concluded Allegri.
