Turin, 19 May (LaPresse) – Albania is starting afresh with an Italian manager. Rolando Maran has been appointed as Albania’s new head coach, taking over from Silvinho, who is stepping down after three and a half years in charge of the national team. “We decided together to bring this chapter to a close, during which we worked very hard to represent this national team and this nation,” said the now former manager. “I don’t have much to say today, but I remember what I said on the first day I arrived, on 9 January 2023: ‘Soul, heart and sweat must never be lacking’. I said that on the first day, and together we were successful.”
