Rome, 15 June (LaPresse) – ‘The Islamic Republic of Iran, following a difficult and intense period of negotiations lasting several months, and on the basis of the resolution of the Supreme National Security Council, finalised the text of the Memorandum of Understanding on the end-of-war negotiations between Iran and the United States on the evening of 14 June.’ This was stated by the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council in a statement reported by the ISNA news agency. Following the announcement of the agreement, the Secretary declared the “immediate and definitive cessation of the war and military operations on all fronts” and the end of the naval blockade against Tehran. “The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding will take place officially on Friday 19 June,” the Secretary added.
