Rome, 12 May (LaPresse) – The 25-year-old man in mandatory quarantine after travelling on the KLM flight on which the woman who later died from Hantavirus was also a passenger is ‘doing well’ and ‘shows no symptoms’. This was clarified by Giusy Caminiti, mayor of Villa San Giovanni in the Reggio area, in an interview on Pomeriggio24 on Rainews, explaining that the biological sample to be analysed at Spallanzani ‘was taken from all the Italians on that flight’ and therefore "everyone will be subject to the same protocol, even though at the moment we are not aware of anyone showing symptoms. This virus is symptomatic, so there is no transmission without symptoms, therefore there is no reason to believe that it was a case of transmission".
