Rome, 3 May (LaPresse) – Inter beat Parma 2-0 at San Siro to be crowned Italian champions for the 21st time in their history. Chivu’s side, who needed only a draw to clinch the title with three games to spare, took the lead through Thuram in the first minute of first-half stoppage time.
In the second half, Mkhitaryan scored in the 80th minute. With a 12-point lead over Napoli, Inter are effectively uncatchable with three games remaining. Chivu wins the Scudetto in his first season in charge of the Nerazzurri, following in the footsteps of Arpad Weisz, Alfredo Foni, Giovanni Invernizzi and José Mourinho.
