Turin, 9 May (LaPresse) – San Antonio won 115–108 away at Minnesota to take a 2–1 lead in the NBA play-off series. Wembanyama was the standout performer with a 39-point display (a career-high in the post-season), 15 rebounds and 5 blocks, which overshadowed an equally impressive performance from Edwards, who scored 32 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and provided 6 assists. In the East, meanwhile, it was plain sailing for New York, who beat Philadelphia 108-94 to take a 3-0 lead, now just one step away from the Conference final. Brunson led the Knicks – without OG Anunoby – with 33 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds. At the other end, Embiid gritted his teeth and contributed 18 points, whilst the other 76ers stars, Maxey (17 points and 7 assists) and George (15 points and 5 rebounds), failed to shine.
