Milan, May 13 (LaPresse) – Paris Saint-Germain secured a 2-0 victory away at Lens in the rescheduled Matchday 29 fixture, mathematically clinching their fifth consecutive Ligue 1 title and their 14th overall—an all-time record. The match was decided by goals from Kvaratskhelia in the 29th minute and Mbaye in the 93rd. In the standings, PSG, with 76 points, holds a 9-point lead over Lens with one matchday remaining. The match between Lens and PSG, originally scheduled for April 11, had been rescheduled by the French league to accommodate PSG’s participation in the Champions League. Lens had strongly opposed the move but had no say in the matter. In the other rescheduled match played this afternoon, Strasbourg defeated Brest 2-1. Strasbourg’s match on Wednesday had also been postponed due to the team’s participation in the UEFA Conference League.
